Meet Wendy Conover. . .

Wendy Conover thinks art is energizing, unifying, and one of the best parts of being WendyConover human. Wendy is a freelance writer and mother of two who has volunteered for the Lumberyard for the last four years. She has worked as a counselor, teacher, and program coordinator in the past, and her service with AmeriCorps during her pre-children days helped her develop a love for nonprofit work that has stuck with her over the years. She has degrees in English and Counseling Psychology, and most of all enjoys working creatively, engaging in meaningful ways with people from all walks of life.

As a volunteer with the Lumberyard's Programming Committee, Wendy loves seeing the ways the Lumberyard enhances the sense of connection and community in Baldwin City. She is excited to bring art opportunities to town, including a variety of classes and activities for preschoolers to adults. Current offerings can be found at www.lumberyardartscenter.org/classes, or if there's a class or activity you'd like to see offered, send Wendy a message at This email address is being protected from spambots. Thanks for all you do for the Lumberyard Arts Center Wendy!
